The Turkish Real Estate Market Records Nearly One Million Sales

The number of properties sold during the first four months of this year in Turkey amounted to 995,595 properties, and the volume of income resulting from the title deed expenses related to the sale of the aforementioned property increased to 10 billion and 475 million and 887 thousand TL.

According to data issued by the General Directorate of Land Registry and Real Estate Survey in Turkey, the number of real estate sales in April of this year reached 291,739 sales.

Residential apartments are the best-selling during the first quarter of this year

In classifying real estate sales during the mentioned period according to the types of real estate sold, the apartments ranked first among the types of real estate sold during the first quarter of this year, with 442,357 apartments sold, representing 44% of the total sales.

Agricultural lands came in second place, with 264,746 agricultural lands sold, representing 27% of the total sales during the same period.

While construction lands came in third place with 168,925 building plots sold, or 17% of the total sales, followed by commercial real estate in the fourth place, with 47,704 commercial properties selling, representing 5% of the total sales of real estate during the first quarter of this year.

The figures recorded the sale of 71,845 properties of other types of real estate.

Istanbul is at the forefront of Turkey’s most selling real estate

In the details related to the distribution of real estate sales to the Turkish states, Istanbul ranked first among the states selling real estate during the first quarter of this year, with 134,764 properties sold.

The Turkish capital, Ankara, ranked second among the Turkish states selling real estate during the mentioned period, with 68,417 properties sold, followed by Izmir in third place, with 56,796 properties sold, during the first quarter of this year.
